FR ?

French edition please ! =)

Not iPad enhanced

The issues are not made for iPad. Shame.

Too slow!

Too slow to open the issues.

What!??

I downloaded an issue, was able to read it once and couldnt open it again. Although I find it under the section "completed downloads" theres always the buy button next to it in the library. May I buy this thing every time I want to read it!? You better fix it, cause this really is annoying!

No content, just another store

The App. Is Free, but it doesnt provide any free content. It is just another kind of store for the articles/issues. I hoped at least for some free articles, but nada. Cant recommend it insofar, except if you need a kind of specialized store for webdesign related issues.

Retina display

Upgraded to latest version and Retina display works now. Very responsive customer service.

Good potential, not stable for me

Ive been using Web Designer Magazine for a while, but only just recently got the Newsstand version of it. Everything downloaded fine, and I have access to all my previous editions, however on the most recent issue release, I cant read the magazine. I had read about half way through before upgrading to the newsstand version, but the version now running in newsstand wont allow me to navigate through any pages. I can open the app, I open the magazine, but then it just freezes on the page its showing and wont navigate. I have to exit the app completely to regain any control.

Cant restore all my purchases

If you cant restore all my purchases, I think that makes for a terrible experience. Getting what you paid for is kind of important to get a good review from your users.

Great content with archaic app

Magazine is full of great stuff. The app on the other hand is almost like reading a poor PDF scan without the handy features of a PDF reader. Text and images are not sharp unless you zoom way in and you cannot highlight text, cannot copy text, nothing at all. It is just an image viewer with a zoom. Oh wait, not entirely. It is possible to search but that is it. I feel ripped off with this app.

Frustratingly poor

Why havent you fixed the bugs in this App? So very frustrating and disappointing considering the quality go your magazines. I cant restore my purchased items and am unable to purchase new ones. Is this the best you can do? Do you not care?

Good read, good info.

This professionally laid-out magazine is colourful and investigates good issues. Som tutorials are hard-to-follow but I highly recommend this magazine!

Good but...

very nice but very often crash :(

Low res

It cost me $5 to see for myself, and yes, its true. The magazine is unusable and grotesque as a consequence of the low resolution raster images used. I sent an email to the devs and got an auto reply- which I actually read for once. And halfway down it says if your question is not answered by their faqs then you need to reply to the bot with your actual question. Certainly seems like a dodge if you ask me, but Ive sent a subsequent message. Maybe thats part of the reason some users have had bad luck with support responsiveness. Well see. Seems like it should be fairly easy to fix this type of problem.

Zero stars would be preferable

App crashes way too much on my iOS devices, when the app actually decides to load. I also totally agree with the other reviewers about the ultra low resolution. It shouldnt be difficult to read type on an iPad, but this magazine makes it a snap. For nearly $50 for an annual subscription at least the makers of this mag could make sure its actually readable. Although there are links that open in safari, the magazine isnt very interactive at all, not that you can read the fuzzy type enough to know where the links are taking you to anyway!

Slow, hard to read

The app loads incredibly slow, and always to the store. It doesnt remember where I stopped reading so every time I read I have to remember where I left off. Lastly it is just hard to read, low res images look blurry when zooming in to read. There is no text reader. Probably wont buy another mag.

Not free

$6 / issue

Free?

Dont think so.

Free section?

Did you put the magazine in a wrong section? Why do you claim it free when each issue cost that much?

The app to view the magazine is free. The magazine is not.

I assumed like most others that because this was free that it meant you could read the magazine or at least a sample. I was wrong. You only get the app free so you can download a subscription or individual issues at $5.99 each. A sample would have been nice before expecting me to pay for such an expensive subscription.

Waste of Money

You can find just about anything you need to know about jquery on the web for free. Why would anyone waste money on this?
